Nautilus is a real submarine. Not a submersible vessel like the models before her. Because of our unusual hull design we push up a giant wall of water in front of us any time we run on the surface.
The wall gets so big that at about 17 knots we dive automatically. The days of high speed running on the surface are over with the advent of the 571 boat. From now on we live in the ocean, not on it!
